The DING Group (“Dialectología Inglesa y Diacronía Inglesa”/ English Dialectology and the History of the English Language) was created by Drs. María F. García-Bermejo Giner, Pilar Sánchez-García and Javier Ruano-García, lecturers at the University of Salamanca. DING’s main field of interest is regional variation in the history of English, especially from the sixteenth century onwards. DING undertakes corpus-based research into lexical, phonological, orthographical and morphosyntactic aspects of English regional dialects.
