DING 2012: “Historian, antiquarian and Fellow of the Royal Society born in Manchester. He went to school at Chester and Bolton. He graduated B.A. from Oxford University. He lived in Lancashire and Buckinghamshire before moving to Cheshire where he remained for 12 years (1811-1823) while he completed his work on the history of Cheshire. He later dwelled in Gloucestershire until his death."
