DING 2011: "Born in Bottesford, Lin., second child of Edward Peacock (1831-1915), the Lincolnshire antiquarian. Her fascination with the dialect of Lincolnshire began in her teens and continued throughout her life. She gathered, with her brothers Maximilian and Adrian, collections of Lincolnshire words.They were all active members of the English Dialect Society. She also contributed to the English Dialect Dictionary. Her brother Maximilian anonymously co-authored with her Tales and Rhymes in the Lindsey Folk Speech (1886), Taales fra Linkisheere (1889), and Lincolnshire Tales (1897).”
