DING 2012: "She lived in Sutton, Nottighamshire. She wrote Martin Luther, A Poem (1825) and Poems Sacred, Dramatic and Lyric (1833). She used the pseudonym M.A.C.  Her father, Rev. Thomas Cursham, kept a school in Sutton. In 1795 he was appointed incumbent at Annesley but he continued to reside at Sutton. He died in 1805. Mary Ann Cursham was a friend of Mary Ann Chaworth and through her she met Lord Byron who expressed her appreciation of her work. She contributed to The Amulet (“An Impromptu Prayer” (1828)) and Forget-me-not ((“The Destinies” (1830) and “Annesley” (1831)).”
