DING 2015: ""Almost no certain information has been found for this author. He is frequently confused with other Thomas Moores. He may be a Rev. Thomas Moore who died in Islington in 1842. He was Minister of Kingswood Chapel, Birmingham, between 1795 and 1809. There is an Obituary for him in the Hereford Journal , 7th Sept. 1842: "Aug 23, the Rev Thomas Moore, formerly of Kingswood near Birmingham and late of Islington, Middlesex, aged 75; author of "A History of Devonshire" , an "Essay on Social Worship" etc." Apparently he was born in Dartmouth.
