DING 2017: “He studied at Oxford. He was Vicar of Alberbury, Shrp., between 1829 and 1839. He then became Rector of Boxwell with Leighterton, and, in 1841, Rural Dean and Proctor in Convocation of the Archdeaconry of Bristol. He had a keen interest in the local history and antiquities of Glo. John Delafield Phelps (?-1843) was his neighbour and friend and his list of Gloucestershire provincialisms (1842) possibly inspired Huntley's monograph. It was published posthumously.”
